Dan DeBarba, the Republican candidate for State Representative of the 114th district, has announced that his campaign has been approved for a public grant under the Citizens’ Election Program (“CEP”) from the State Elections Enforcement Commission.
DeBarba said about the grant, “The CEP is an important program because it reduces the influence of special interests in Connecticut state politics by requiring candidates to demonstrate substantial public support through small-dollar contributions from residents in their districts.”
DeBarba continued, “Our campaign has quickly and convincingly demonstrated outstanding public support. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to my campaign. Running for State Representative of the 114th district is a privilege. I will do my very best to become your advocate in Hartford.”
Dan DeBarba is a longtime Orange resident and his three children are graduates of Amity High School. He is the former president of Norwalk and Danbury Hospitals and is currently the chief financial officer of a large healthcare system in New York. Additionally, he and his wife own a small business in the area.
